    David Gillick - 400m

    Jamie Costin - 50k Walk
    Colin Griffin - 50k Walk

Paul Hession - 200m - should make semi anyway. I reckon he'll narrowly miss out on a final spot.
    David Gillick - 400m - 5th or 6th in final, under 45 but not a NR.
    Thomas Chamney - 800m / 1,500m - won't run 1500. Won't make it out of 800 heats 1:46/7
    Deirdre Byrne - 1,500m - won't make final
    Roisin McGettigan - 3,000m Steeplechase - won't make final
Alistair Cragg - 5,000m - will make final then flop spectacularly. 30 seconds off leaders or DNF.
    Derval O'Rourke - 100m H - will be a long way off final.

David gillick has a great chance to make top 5 at least but wheter he can win a medal remains to be seen ! if he dosent make final he's 44.77 will have being for nothing and no progress on previous years would have been made. i predict 4th place

Olive Loughnane will probely be top six but it remains to be seen if see can keep up with the russians pace. i predict 5th place

Robert Heffernan will probely end up in top ten but wont be able to make top 5. i predict 9th place

Paul Hession needs to break his own national record if he wants to make 200m final. form is okay but hasnt progressed in last season and a half so needs to do so. maybe berlin is the time. i predict 6th in semi final

Derval O'Rourke might make a semi final but wont be pushing for final birth place. i predict 8th in semi final

overall i think is will be a good world champs for the irish but i dont think any medals will be won .. i hope i will have to eat my words:D

Gillick for third, outdiving Neville for the line!

Hession to make it to the final - rest of field to dsq again eventually leading to a medal for him!

I'm not qualified to comment on anyone else!

We will be adding a prediction competition for the Worlds next week. Will be all fun and a bit of craic. It'll be simple to enter too.

Neville won't be there as he didn't make it through the trials, so thats one less person to worry about!!:D
What do people think about Eilo's chances?......I think that she might just sneak a spot in the final if she can continue to improve like she has done over the last few weeks, which I am confident that she will!!

Paul Hession - 200m - Semi final then who know.
David Gillick - 400m - If everything goes perfect 4ht/5th but 400's can be crule.
Thomas Chamney - Heats in the 800m and If he goes out same in the 1500.
    Deirdre Byrne - Semi final
Roisin McGettigan - love to see her make the final but it maybe a bit much.
Alistair Cragg - 5,000m - Will lead the final for a few laps would love to see him run sub 13:15 in the final that he is capable or doing.
Derval O'Rourke - Have a feeling she will run a season best in the world but not sure if it will be enough to get past the semi.

One more! The USA have four entries, since Wariner is defending champ.

I still think Gillick can medal (if he keeps his head). Hession can too, providing a few line violations lead to DQs. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but rules is rules. :D

Chammers has come a long way this year, so time to take another big step: 2 semi-final places.

Several of our team are just not at their best, like O'Rourke, O'Keeffe, McGettigan and Cragg, but I hope it comes good for them in Berlin.
