Avast antivirus web shield

Does anyone running avast free get a lot of instances of ashWebSv.exe in their firewall traffic? Like about 50-60 single connections? This happens when i'm browsing the web on Firefox with about 3 tabs open. Could this mean avast has been infected itself?
