    Folks

Have an plug in thing for my ipod that is powered via the cigerettte lighter and all was grand until is stopped working a few days ago, the ipod thing had a rattle in it so i presumed it was the ipod adapter and got a new one, put in the new one and its dead as a doornail......so i thought crap it must be the fuse, so got the fuse map out, then opened up the dash panel, went to the place on the map and low and behold, no fuse in the place where the map is, thought maybe i had the wrong side but i doubled checked and it is the correct side panel for the fuse, one thing i did notice was there is in fact very little fuses

    Can anyone explain

    Its a 07 2.0tdi passat.

    Up Cork

Double check the fuse map - it may be in LHD format and you will need to reverse the locations - this was the case for all late 1990s and early 2000s VWs.

It was quite common for power adapters to blow fuses in VWs. A lot of mobile phone chargers used to do this. It's a better idea to hard wire the adaptor.

or use a non cigarette lighter 12v power supply if the car has one.

I know this post is a year old but any chance you could post a picture of where the fuse goes Cork4Ever as I have the same problem and have no idea which fuse box panel or where the fuse goes because the manual contradicts some of the fuses in there>?

    Appreciate any help!

    Thanks

    Marc
