calf injury help!

    I have had a niggle in the inside and back of my calf for two weeks and the other night I did a run it started to hurt more I found that when I lifted my leg I got a small pain for a moment I going to rest it for a while. has anyone had anything like this and if so whats the best and quickest way to recover.

    I am by no means an athlete but had a calf injury some time back due to poor footwear. :o Got myself a tubular bandage for it and when I was off my feet would rest the leg above my head level, on the sofa, and iced it for a good 10-15 minutes a day. Problem went in about two weeks for me.
