    What are treggings?

Edit: Googled them. Thought they were called Jeggings.

OK. Jeggings are jean leggings. As in jeans but without a button, just an elasticated waist. Look like jeans, go on like leggings!

Treggings are trouser leggings. As in, look like trousers, black one's or whatever but again, elasticated waist, wear like leggings!

You can get both in River Island :) Topshop tend to have pretty much the same trends going on there too so probably worth a look.

Except they don't look like jeans at all. First I've heard of treggings but considering I work on Talbot St, will be able to offer my opinions very soon! How can black treggings look different to black leggings I'm wondering

They do look like jeans, they feel like jeans, they wear like jeans! You are thinking of leggings with jean print which are not jeggings at all, just regular leggings!

Black treggings feel completely different to back leggings. They are heavier and look like trousers! They just have an elasticated waist.

River Island's website doesn't allow links to actual products but if you go on it (http://xml.riverisland.com/flash/content.php) and go to leggings/treggings, the last page, the very last product, they are jeggings. If you cover the elasticated waist, they look like jeans! They are made from the exact same material as jeans, 98% cotton, 2% elastane and they feel like jeans!

It's the same for treggings, a mix between leggings and trousers!

    http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=32051&storeId=13052&categoryId=146489&parent_category_rn=133494&productId=1057413&langId=-1
The above are leggings with jean print. Different!

What exactly is wrong with jeans with elasticated waists?

They're ugly and not flattering on 99% of the women that wear them.

Also wearing leggings as trousers looks cheap and common, and that includes "Jeggings" and "treggings".

Trousers should have proper waistbands. Pyjamas and tracksuits can have elasticated ones.

They are skinny jeans with elastic waistbands. You can't even tell the difference if the person's top is long!
