Pretty slow, you'd get up yourself a lot quicker. Not a bad idea though.

Any idea what's at the top of the hill?

Erm, having to push your weight back against that footpad would be hard than cycling up the hill.

Perhaps this is why he's not using clipless pedals...

Just caught this surfing satellite TV last night. This is a one off, and the "wing" is Carbon fibre, maybe someother parts as well. He describes it as flying, not floating, as Lumen says if your not moving you sink.

Same with kiteboarding though, but that hasn't stopped it becoming popular. Would imagine it'd be easy enough to add flotation to the tubes of the bike e.g. fill them with foam. You'd be relatively easily able to reposition the chain again. Presumably with time you'll be able to waterstart it too.

Out mountain biking in Ravensdale yesterday evening and while on the way down passed three guys on bikes tied to the back of a car on the way up.
It's a steep enough climb but jasus!

That lift thing is cool. Except over here, people would see how long they could balance on it, by standing on it without a bicycle :D
