    Hi,

4 of us were going to book RTW trip as follows:

    London - Thailand - Aus - NZ - Cook Isl - La

We are now discussing booking the flights as we go...

Any thoughts / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

To enter some countries you need onward tickets.

First check the flights over the Pacific, they're the most expensive. If they're horrifically expensive then go RTW.

I went Ire-South America - Aus and had a half RTW for that. Came to 1000.
Then I DIYed over the cheap side (over Asia).

It's very hard to budget for a DIY cause you never know how much the flights will be when you book.
