Matthew Wilson to drive the Tipperary Stonethrowers Rally

    Looking forward to getting to see a young and upcoming WRC rally driver in the form of Matthew Wilson this Sunday even if he is only in a Fiesta R2!
    The Stonethrowers Rally has received surprise entry from World Rally Championship driver Matthew Wilson. The young Cumbrian is to contest the Rally in the new Fiesta R2. The outing is to further fine-tune the development of the new car. Mattew has an FIA seeding so he Mattew is the top seed.

    Also nice to see this number plate making its way through the stages on sunday,
    After a long absence from the Tipperary stages, we welcome back the famous registration plate 2223 IM of the late great Frank Meagher. John Moynihan of Milstreet will debut the Escort, running 00 on this years event. It is perhaps fitting that John has chosen to debut the car on a rally that Frank had made his own throughout the course of his distinguished career, winning the Stonethrowers rally a record 9 times.


    Always enjoyed this rally, and im sure plenty of rally fans will be hitting for clonmel this weekend!

    id say craig breen could keep up with him if he was out in the same car... dont be expecting much...
