I have just replaced my chain and in the very low gears it is quite noisy when under pressure. Could this just be the new chain bedding in? If so how long before the noise goes away?

Low gear cogs are probably worn. Could be cassette changing time!

"Ribbles" - Noun - sometimes referred to as Ribbleitus - a rare disease, not known to be contagious, the symptoms of which are a grumbling noise emanating from the nether regions of the rear mech, usually followed by similar sounds from the rider. Luckily, the disease only afflicts certain campag equipped, hand built machines !
