Hi. I know that it's against the law to sell tobacco products to under 18's in Ireland, but is it against the law to smoke/possess cigarettes as a minor? Are Gardai allowed to confiscate tobacco from underage people?

The last time I checked the you had to be 16 to be able to legally smoke and 18 to buy them if your 16 and over the garda cant take them of you
