Is this all PP are doing on this market? I thought last season everybody was given a handicap and opened at 17/1?

Everybody opens at 15/1 and there's been a few movers already.

Cheers. Sunderland looks like a good bet alright as does Fulham once again.

For interested, Stoke won it last year with the majority of bookies.

    Stoke won it last year

Depends on the points but a few bookmakers had it a dead heat between Fulham & Stoke.
The beauty of this market is it's never decided until the last few games and most of the time, it's won by one of the teams receiving a truckload of points and never one of the favs.

Not true Utd won it about 3 years ago as did Arsenal the year they went unbeaten, as it's a handicap it's still anyones.

Like these bets as they keep me interested. Very tricky though.

Best to go each way. Stan James and BetFred are paying four places at 1/4. Most of the other big boys are only paying 1/5.

Betfair is always the best one for this because there are massive movers and shakers. Portsmouth for example are 33-1, Spurs +19 are 26-1 but I like Bolton +40 at 25-1

Make sure you keep a record of what handicaps all the other teams are when you have a bet so you know exactly where you end up at the end of the season.

Can someone explain the market to a newbie, obviously know how asian handicaps work but what do the figures next to each team mean/represent?

    Thanks

Its basically like betting on who will win the league except that all teams receive a certain amount of points at the start.

Taking Paddy Powers odds as an example, Man United are +0 points while the likes of Burnely are +52. This means that Burnley start on 52 points from the first game. At the end of the season the final table is decided on each teams final points plus the handicap points they received at the start.

Very tricky though. Hull looked like they were going to run away with it before Christmas last year but failed miserably after that.
