3 wireless usb modem - sharing

    i have my computer connected to the internet with this modem. can i have a second computer working off this modem at the same time,if so how and what settings do i change?

    You'd need to say what the exact model of the modem is to be sure but I'd say its just a modem and doesn't allow for more than one connected PC/laptop.

    You need either ICS on your PC (which is fairly rubbish) or buy a suitable Router/Firewall compatible with your model of Modem.

    ICS (XP, Vista, Win7) doesn't care what kind of Modem or Internet connection it is. If your computer uses Linux (Ubuntu, Linpus etc) or OpenSolaris then you can use the same software most routers use to do a Firewall & NAT and "share" the Modem to your network.

    For connection sharing I found it less hassle to just get a Dovado UMR Wireless router and throw it into the attic. Get signal throughout most of the house and wired it down to the 3 stationary computers :)
