I am going to be repainting my bedroom, I would love some advice.

It's a medium sized bedroom and quite bright. It's currently painted pink and a light yellow (like that when I moved in).

I'm thinking chocolate brown and cream. Went to my local Woodies and didnt see the brown I wanted.

Any other suggestions, please post :) And tell me the best places to look at/buy paint :)

light colors for a bed room IMO the best color is all white everything, the first night you sleep in it you will feel great very soothing color

i wouldnt put brown in a bedroom, (bloody sick of brown EVERYTHING!!) i'd go for a really light nice green, really calming, and you can accessorise with white.

What's on the floor? Wood or carpet, colour? And door, skirtings, just white gloss?

Wooden floor, white door (I'll repaint the inside), skirting is wood too. The room is a good size, there's a double bed in it, desk, wardrobe. And a big white radiator.

I have one wall of my room painted brown, and the other walls, ceiling and woodwork are painted different shades of cream. It creates a really warm atmosphere. I think it could be a bit flat with just one shade of cream.

I got my paint in Atlantic Homecare. I think it was their own brand. Needed a couple of coats but it turned out really well. I love it now, particularly with pictures etc on the walls.

I taught you would of had it finished by now, are you still going with the brown and cream, the natural timber will help.

I know this is a chore, but if you can paint it all white and work from there, you might think the white is brilliant, it will double the size of your room to the naked eye, if your not happy apply the colors as you see fit,
use Matt paint, so if you decide to change the color one coat should do it,

    Happy painting.

ohhh the original colors you were picking, price wise are more expensive by about 30 /40% because there deep-base.

Not a bad idea, I might paint all the room cream, and decide if I want to paint the other 2 walls another colour.

IVY if your taping up the skirting boards a wee tip, cut a 7/8 inch strip off the masking tape roll it up loosely sticky side out and place under the masking tape on the skirting, this will stop the tape from sagging letting splashes on the bottom of the skirting board.

cookie dough is a lovely warm colour, would be nice in a bedroom
buy 5l of white 2.5l cookie dough
pour 0.5l(gradually as less may be enough) of cookie dough into white and stir well paint 3 walls with same
paint other wall with cookie dough,
you now have a cream that is a nice tint of your chosen colour so will go well together
works for most cream colours and some others, not always great if starting with a very strong colour
