€25 Devilfish Night at Voodoo Card Club - Starts this Thurs - 8.30pm - Bonus Prizes

DevilfishPoker.com today announces its new live weekly poker tournament, Devilfish Night, taking place at 8:30 p.m. each Thursday at the new Voodoo Card Club.

The Second Life tournament, a €25 + €5 no limit hold’em game with one rebuy, sees players start with 3,000 in chips (and 3,000 for their rebuy) and 20 minute levels.



As a special introductory offer, the €5 registration will be waived throughout August. The winner of the weekly tournament will also receive a limited edition Devilfish chip set (while stock lasts).

6. How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (in advance, at the door etc.) - N/A
7. Type of Tournament (Hold'em/Omaha etc Freezeout/Rebuy etc.) - 1 Rebuy
8. Cost of entry and any subsequent rebuys/top-ups etc. - €20 + €5 (after Aug) - €20 rebuy
9. Cost of registration - €5 (after Aug)
10. % of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into Prize fund - 100%
10a. Is any money from the prize fund held back for future tournaments, if so, how much - nope
11. Any guarenteed prize pool. - not yet
12. If applicable, Number of re-buys allowed and over what time frame/blind levels. - 1 rebuy at €20
13. Starting Chips - 3000
14. Rebuy and Top-up chip amounts. - 3000
15. Blind levels - standard
16. Blind timeframes - 20 mins
17. Places being paid and if any prizes are other than cash (free entry to other tournie, merchandice etc) - Chip set for winner on top of prizepool - top 10% paid
18. Are there going to be dealers - and their level of skill - pro dealers
19. Will there be a documented list of rules - at club
20. Is there a tournament director - Voodoo TD - Nick
21. How are disputes handled - who has final say. - TD
22. Are there any cash games offered, if so, please outline the rake for each limit offered. - Cash Games - rake in Voodoo thread

I headed in last night for the 20:30 €40 FO and left at 21:30 with only a handful of names on the sheet and the tourney not started.

I like this tourney, but you definitely need a 150/300 level. After the break it just goes crapshooty when it goes straight from 100/200 to 200/400. Who was the guy there last week that layed the chip leader for 9.5/1? He seemed to be talking about boards a bit.

He managed to convince the same guy to buy out of the bet for €25 which is good going considering the guy had bet €20 and had half the chips in play.

It was an even 5-way chop in the end!

Can picture you. I thought I remember someone calling the guy to his right Karl. Table nearest the door, btn shoved 9Jo and was good vs my TT to bubble the final table. I was the similarly lanky chap in the Ireland zip-up.
