    My selections are

Lee Westwood 33/1 - Excellent ball striker and accuracy is a great attribute to have on this course. In fine form at present.

Luke Donald 50/1 - 2 top 10 finishes in 4 events here, 5 top 10 finishes in 09 and had a great Open. Clearly over his injuries. Superb talent and expect him to be challenging at the top.

Kenny Perry 50/1 - Solid driver with distance and accuracy.

Martin Kaymer 66/1 - Had a miserable round in this last year but he is striking the ball far better this term and a recent back-to-back winner.

Of the outsiders the only one I could give a squeak to is Rory Sabbatini at 100/1.

Temtped to bet on Paul Casey but going to wait until next week, depending on how he performs this week.

Good luck to everyone else placing a bet.

    And you!

My own selections are H Stenson @50/1, D love 18/1 (Top american w/o Woods) and Cabrerra 14/1 (Top rest of the world).

Love has amazing course form and Cabrerra has been very unlucky last few big tournaments and if he has a hot week with the putter should be there or there abouts, Stenson I have to admit is really and truly a gut feeling bet.

Also might do a little patriotic bet on McDowell (100/1 with PP so cant wait to get home and see the betfair price) he has been in the Top 20 or so in the last few majors and he's excellent iron play should suit the course.

I made a case against him on another thread. But as you say youre going with your gut.

Yeah just seen that now and tbh it was just really the price that stood out for me, I wouldnt have thought he has slipped that far down the reckoning, I mean to have him the same price as Harrington, know which one Id like my money on

Harrington walked off the driving range on Monday complaining of a stiff neck, which has happened to him numerous times before. I haven't read anything further about it but it's a cause for concern if anyone is thinking of placing a bet on him regardless of his recent form.

I've backed Nick Watney at 139-1. A vastly improved player since last season, I hope he can plug on for a place!

In saying that...it's only a small bet as I've gone on record as saying that I hate golf betting!

new to this, but going to try a few 3 ball bets for thursday, Allenby 17/10, Yang 2/1, McIlroy 9/5 and McDowell 9/4, all decent starters, will see if it gives a return on acca and doubles for the weekend ! Kjeldsen e.w at 100/1 is my only other weekend bet so far, he owes me nothing this season..

What do people think of Cink's/Goosen's/Harrington's chances so far?,

Harrington has just taken the lead at -5 now, with two holes to go, gone from 50/1 to 7/1 , I had him in my betslip but seen him go from 35/1 to 50/1 so I switched my large bet to Goosen, doesn't look good so far for me...
