    Hi

I lost job last year in November,I went to register as unemployed, brought all documentation needed. 10 months passed and I am still not fully registered application pending is the only answer I get from SW. No reasons why it is taking so long, nothing.

Where can I find out what's happening with application, or where can I claim for laziness of SW? or maybe it is normal period of time for ppl to be registered?

at the moment I am with supplementary SW but I cant do any free course or FAS course as I would lose my benefits when I do so.

    any advice?
    thx

You've been down to the social welfare office and all they've told you is that your claim is pending?

Did you tell them that you've been waiting since November?

yes, they know, she can not give me any pure reason.
I am so upset, because as soon as I take any course by FAS I lose my Supplementary payments, and I am not sure would FAS pay me for doing the course.

after course, I would have to apply for payments again (now it is taking ages) and I am not sure would I be qualify.

FAS do pay you to take the course.

I would honestly head back down to your local social welfare office and tell them that 10 months is ridiculous and you want to know how much longer you have to wait.

Are you waiting on a decision on the habitually resident condition? If so, I think the processing time for those claims is currently 8-10 months.
If you are not sure FAS will pay you for doing a course, go down to your FAS Office and enquire. You couldn't do a full time FAS course and still claim a Jobseeker's payment either. You do get paid for quite a few FAS courses.

I live in Ireland 18 month already, I was informed I would be on jobseeker allowance, but still no decision.

I went to FAS and ladies obviously forgot to inform me about FAS paying for doing the course. they only scared me saying I am going to lose my benefits, no mentioning about FAS payments.

thank you for support. I must go and do something about it, just didn't know what legal actions can be taken :)
