    Hello,

Am feeling really low about a brief relationship I got involved in, in work.
Things started off really promising. He was very flattering, kind, thoughtful and he really seemed to like me.
Initially, I told him that I didn't want a relationship as I was feeling quite fragile from the last.

Eventually, the texts got rarer and cooler.

Now my texts received are very cool and regularly ignored.

I don't understand why things have to end up so badly. I've been in this situation before and I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to remove some of this unpleasantness?

Given that I work with the guy, I can't carry out the usual solution and block him out of my life.
It's really taking its toll on me.

Any thoughts on how I could make this situation a little easier?

Firstly I would stop txting this guy, when you see him try your best to be friendly but not as though your flirting, ignore any comments he may make or how cool he may be,, try just to rise above it he prob has a sore ego as you didnt want a relationship,,

    Thanks! Appreciate the advice.
I know you're right! And that's what I am trying to do, for the most part.
Do you think it's an ego thing, given that our roles kinda reversed as time went on?
I.e. his signs of affection waned, and mine grew stronger.
If it is an ego thing, maybe he's got the wrong idea?

Ugh, I know it sounds ridiculous and that I'm grasping, but it's this slight chance that is really keeping me from moving on.

I really wanna talk to him, but a) I don't know if he'd blow me off and b) I don't wanna come off looking needy. Like I say, if I could walk away from this, I would. But I see him everyday, so I can't.

I would stop texting as it is really a substitute for talking.

If you did want to check things out ask him to go for a drink after work or lunch but to it in person.

As for the appearing needy well that is just a silly thing to worry about.

First things first. If he blows you out at least you know where you stand.
