Dell laptop startup disc

When I start up my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1300 from 2006) I get the following error message

"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the Original Setup CD ROM

Select "r" at the first screen to start repair"

Somewhat predictably, I dont have this CD as I moved house since I purchased it.

Does anyone have any advice on how I could get this sorted?

    Thanks in Advance

get on to dell tech support, explain the error straight off and they should mail you out the recovery discs (for a small charge!)
