Bigger dish as often only 7/8 FEC and lower power.

Some you need a receiver that can do 4.2.2

Blind search helps you find unknown feeds.

If you're more interested in watching them than finding them then this site is invaluable:

A good receiver for 4:2:2 decoding is one of the AZBox range:

Which is where I got mine :D

    Hello gtg60 and others,
Is there much happening on the RTE&TV3 feeds? I'm looking for say newsfeeds, stuff before they go live plus RTE radio satellite feeds, did you ever get RTE radio feeds?

Thinking of getting the most bogstandard AZbox for 4:2:2.

    All views welcome thanks.:)

    Hi Greenman

Try some searches on the Satelliweb site using search words like Ireland, Ireland News, GAA, Gaelic football, Hurling etc. This will give you most of the reported feeds which you will see are usually on 1 West or 27.5 West and are mostly sport and nearly always in 4:2:2. I never saw reports of radio feeds from Ireland or anywhere else.

A dvb-s card in a pc will do feeds as well (Both 420 and 422)

you can get usb dvb-s2 tuners, like skystar hd usb and technotrend dvb-s2 3600 usb (both are the same i think just rebranded).

Cant confirm though if 422 feeds definitely work on them though.

It seems the non-HD version of the Skystar USB can manage 4:2:2 with the right codecs, though didn't find much about the HD version.

Its a form of encoding that is popular with the satellite feeds.

i'd say it more than likely does work for 422 feeds as thats more of a codec thing that a hardware thing. If you google you should be able to find some confirmation.
