    hi,
a family member has been diagnosed with a GBM(Gliomablastula Multiform). Its rare and aggressive. Its been 8 months now and he did not respond very well to treatment. We have come to terms with the fact that it is terminal. i found a great site brainhospice.com. I was wondering if anyone had any experience in this type of tumor and haw the end was. he has just started hallucinating, but it hasn't become severe yet. Steroids has greatly reduced his movement.

Hi Jinxi. I've moved your thread to the long term illness forum, as I think you might get more support in here.

Sorry to hear you are going through this.

There is a site where you might get some help called planetcancer.org it is a site for young people who either have cancer or know someone with cancer. I have found it to be a very useful site.

Although I have a different type of cancer, I am also terminal, so I understand some of what you are going through. It is a tough time for you and your family and any help you can get is worth it.

Thanks Happy121. I am sorry to hear about your own situation. I was wondering how you are coping? My relative has severe communication difficulties but is aware of everything that is happening. It is impossible for him to talk about how he is feeling. His hallucinations are becoming more severe daily. It is quite confusiong for him as he knows they are not real.
