Beaten to it... I was just going to post this.

Seems like a good deal to me! Anyone know different? I guess it requires the y connection (that means two usb ports to connect to I assume) on a standard laptop from a few years ago? Is this a big deal?

    Cheers

Why do you think it requires a "y connection"?

I imagine it just needs one USB2 port which it uses for data and power.

Not all USB ports supply enough power for these devices (older machines, usually). The Y Connection would allow you to plug it into two ports to get the power.

The 400GB version of this exact drive was in iBood a few weeks back.

I ordered it, and there are issues with it. I can't transfer large amount of data to it as the transfer will hang at some stage, and i need to unplug the drive from USB before I can even move my mouse cursor again.

It does use the Y usb cable and that is also annoying as it takes both ports on my WD Media player.

I would avoid it to be honest lads.
