Just to give you all a little heads up.

Without a doubt, it's been clocked. I know the car personally, and the previous owner who I've just spoken with is astonished that it's been clocked like this. He only sold it a few weeks back, and he's 100% on the mileage - It was sold with almost 350,000 KM's on the clock

It's a smashing truck, but this ad and the current keeper of the vehicle are dishonest in their description and actions. The current keeper also fed the previous owner a line about how he was exporting it the weekend he bought it so he'd need to take the VLC away with him, and therefore couldn't wait for it to be changed into his name....

Nothing wrong with folk buying and selling cars for a few quid, but not by shafting honest punters by clocking a car. Even the photos are those taken by the previous owner.

    Buyer beware. Spread the word.

Post edited to validate the information I've supplied.

Mods, happy to provide contact details for the previous owner if you'd like to confirm details.

Not my cup of tea - I'm a Landrover man myself, for all the heartache that costs me. Just trying to give folks here a heads up - I know there was interest expressed here when the previous owner advertised it initially. Figured it was better to warn other boards.ies than let someone buy a clocked yoke....

I would say that the big hand was moved from from 2 to 6 and the little hand from 1 to 2. :D

Proof, eg previous advertisement links to this vehicle.

Proof, eg previous advertisement links to this vehicle.

So the advertised KM figure is somewhere close to the actual mileage figure?

Any chance its just a mistake in the advert, or did you see the actual lower mileage on the jeep?

Hardly the one to be throwing that one around are you?

Not really to be fair . 350,000 km drop to 209,00 is substantial in anyones books.

No mileage listed, but that's the ad from when it was sold a few weeks back.

Incidentally, the last owner is known to me - He's a neighbour and now a friend, since he saw the light and bought a landrover too ;)

I take your point Mr. Diagnostic, but I just got off the phone with the guy who's selling it now. I asked him to confirm the mileage to me, and he told me it's 130k miles/200k km's....

When I told him that's 100k less than it was two weeks ago, he said "Alright" and hung up. The advertised mileage is crooked.

Anyway, there's the info. Take it or leave it.
