Online visa for the states??

Heading to Vegas in four weeks time and I was informed by a mate that you need to sort you visa's out prior to going? This was'nt the case when I went last August and I did'nt hear of anything...so can someone enlighten me? What site do I go to online etc? Regards

have a look at the forum.. the link is on the embassy website but it needs to be done 72 hours b4 you travel
