Yeah pretty pathetic showing really given there was a shedload of us in the area where baseball took off at the time it took off. Though I guess the rich business types who started professional baseball in the 1870s? would sooner have the dog in the street on the team than an Irish man.

highest number of europeans, suprisingly germans are so small considering the ammount that emmigrated there but then they didn't move to cities generally.
