Specsavers do an Osiris Sun frame which is very close to an Oakley in my opinion. Osiris is Specsavers own Designer Brand

You could also go for laser and buy non-prescription Oakleys;)

Do not get the polaroid lenses in them as you cannot get the lightweight glass then.
I got mine done and went for the polaroid...nearly broke my fcukin neck the first time I wore them...way too heavy.
For the record my prescription is -4 so if you're not as bad as this then you might get away with it..but make sure to check it out :D

you can get polycarbonate polarised lenses, while the thickness reduction wont be huge, polycarbonate is one of the lightest materials on the market, i've had great success with patients up to a -12.00 in these

If you are in Dublin then there is a place on Batchelors walk that does (did) prescription wraps. Not sure what strength they go up to, but I think they were higher than the Oakleys.

Anybody know if you can just get prescription lenses for Oakley Flaks? - I have the glasses already...

Sorry to be bringing up an old thread...but

Has anyone had any experience of Bolle B Thin Prescription lenses? They offer thin lenses, in wrap around for very high prescriptions.

Here is the link to the new glasses:
http://www.bolle-europe.eu/technology/prescription/equipment
Or does anyone know a place that has a good selection of Bolle prescription sunglasses in Dublin? Have tried google but cannot seem to find much.

( Mods feel free to make this a new thread in the eyecare section about Bolle B Thin Sunglasses, if it is more appropriate)

This a store locator for bolle products available in Ireland you can narrow the search by selecting the region.

    Hope that helps
