    Hi,

I'm just looking for an open source WYSIWYG editor (similar to Frontpage or Dreamweaver). I've googled it but i'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of using open source editors. Can you recommend any?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

we are seeing a lot of these "does anybody now an open source version of ...." questions of late. For an idea of what might be available see http//:www.osalt.com (osalt=Open Source Alternatives)

As for Tom-eg's suggestion - kompozer is good but I had some issues with it when php code was embedded. Bluefish & Quanta also worth a look.

I've downloaded Kompozer and it looks pretty good. No issues thus far. Thanks for your help

    nevermind

  • TinyMCE is another alternative. Although you have to use a third party file/image manager, as TinyMCE force you to pay to use theirs.
