Black to Brown hair?

    Hi,

    Ive been dying my hair dark brown but it keeps coming out almost black and I really want a brown brown colour! Will a permanent light brown colour get the desired effect or will it just dye it blacky again?Help!

    I know what you mean, when i was younger and had long long hair i bought a home highlight kit and it turned out awful so i bought a brown dye similar to my original colour and my hair went black...
    if it is already a black colour then putting a light brown into it wont do anything.
    If you used a semi permanent colour - then wait till it washes out wash it with head and shoulders or wash up liquid to get rid of the semi permanent colour - then you can try putting a light brown in
    but if you've been using permanent dye then it wont fade and the only way to get it lighter is to get hairdressers to strip it out - will cost alot

    Oh dear!

    Might just wait a while then and see if it lightens up after a while!! Otherwise just go to the hairdresser and see what they can do with it!
