A few weeks ago I had to buy a gear for the pickup reel of a welger RP12 baler. I rang the local welger dealer and they told me they would have to order it as they didn't have the part in stock. When I asked them the price they told me it was €350+vat. I tried to get one secondhand but had no luck so I rang another dealer and he told me the same part was €105+vat but he was too slow to order the part. I rang the local dealer again thinking they had made a mistake in their price and was quoted €360+vat this time. Then I checked the internet and got a number of a welger dealer they delivered the part to my door next day for €114 including postage.

Welger are very expensive for parts as it is without dealers acting the mickey as well, I deal with clarkes a good bit, they have a good stores department, main Valtra dealership, I wouldnt have a bad word to say about them

interesting, look at their website a good bit and almost bought an agitator off him there a few months back, seems to have loads of rough looking tankers and found him kinda pricey on the agitator, would they be reliable crowd to get 2nd hand gear off?

We bought a Valmet tractor from them, was fully serviced when delivered, the first job it did was to mow first cut silage, had 3 rounds done and it lay up in the field, I rang them from the tractor, the mechanic was at the house in less than an hour in his own car, had the service sheet with him, checked through everything they had done, they had replaced the sender in the fuel tank, an O-Ring was damaged as they put it back and it was sucking air, was up and running in no time, the salesman I dealt with rang not long after he left to make sure I was running ok, he asked me that If I still was not happy they would bring back the tractor and lend me a different one to finish the silage, she never looked back since, solid as a rock (touch wood), i found one guy in particular in the stores to be excellent, I noticed last year that the oil level in the engine was creeping up on the dipstick:confused:, rang the stores, he told me that the fuel pump diaphram was leaking fuel into the sump, he offered me a repair kit for the pump @E18, or a new pump at E85, advised me that the original pump on these was a disaster and that the uprated pump was much more successfull, I was a bit hessitant, he posted the part to me for E70, great service, my local Lely agent is very good at getting bit's, if you know what you want he will ask you to look it up in the book including the price, part of the book:) it does not make them any cheaper though

I got the part from their kells store. I rang him at 2pm he knew straight away that they had the part in stock and said that I would have it the following morning. Sure enough it arrived at 9 the following morning no messing there. The other dealer I rang had secondhand balers and he had to check if the part was on them, he spent 3 days messing around before he actually went out to see if the part was there, then he told me he hadn't the part but he could order a new one it would take 3 days after 3 days I rang him again he never ordered the part but he thought he might have the part in stock. At that stage I gave up on him and checked the net to find another dealer.

    I have 2 welger balers.

I gave up on buying new parts back in 1999 for them. Prices are terrifying for the most part.

    Hi guys.
I´m new here and I think I can´t post a new topic, so I´m just gonna restart this one.

The thing is that the 4 small bearings in the sweap in my Welger 220 Profi baler are going too often, and I think its because the cam plate/cam track is damaged (the track in it is really worn out).
So I called my local dealer and the prices on the parts are way higher than I think these parts should cost.

Where are you buying your parts from, and are you ordering online from somewhere?

Bearing can be bought from many sources. Just get the inside diameter outside diameter, type of bearing (Roller, Ball, Taper) and see if they are sealed (metal or plastic) of open. From there your call Reliance or Edmunds Walker to get a price, Even Radionics have them in stock, show the price online and deliver to the door. Cam plate and track are a different story.
