Hi all. I just noticed a small leak in one of the upright pipes connected to my rad, at the nut. Is there a sealing compound I can use to treat this or do I need to drain the system, undo the nut and apply fresh ptfe tape?

Usually it only take a slight turn of the wrench to reseal quarter turn should do.( I take it the leak is where the pipe meats the nut)

If you are not confident get a plumber to look at it. If it has to be re done the plumber does a couple of things the most popular i saw is take of the valve cut the olive and replace the nut and olive
