Calf supports?

Did my first 10km on Sunday, have to do a race one next weekend.

Left calf tightened a little. Saw some runners wearing support there but tried Lifestyle sports yesterday but couldn't see them. Do they exist or are they just customized? And if they exist, where does one buy them? Sports shops? Specialised athletics shop? Pharmacists?

    Conor,

i got these http://www.2xu.com/compression/ua1244b.html online for about €30, they are quite good. One thing i will say though is that you simply cannot beat consistant simple stretching and strenghtening exercises. Go see a good physio is it persists.

Thanks for the link. Spend about 10 mins warming up alright, but will look at that again.

As wizwill alluded to, you should only use these as a short term solution (and only then on physio's advice i would say).It might get you thru a race or 2 but the underlying problem in your calves won't be solved
