    Hi Folks,

Looking to get a 50" tv. Have a budget of about 800-900 euro. Some of the regular shops have a Samsung for around 750 - 800, but I want to get the best value for money that I can.

It will be used for sd tv, dvd and wii. I doubt full hd is available at this price? I've heard that LG are best avoided?

Help me spend my money !!!

    LCD

    Plasma

You could also ask over in the RS Forum for some options, or review some recent posts over there.

They are usually good to boardies, and also are connected to the Philips shop in Dublin.

I think Richer were offering last years Panasonic models for very good money recently, the PZ81 models, which I think are full HD. Be a good option for that kind of money.

I'm going for a G10 for the main sitting room. But I want a cheaper one (under 8-900) for the attic conversion.

The Samsung 5series 50" full hd is available at 899 and the LG 50ps3000 is a bit less.
Which one of these is better?

    Thanks

I'd go for the Samsung. Don't rate LG plasmas at all & reviews of the bigger P6000 confirm this. Low white brightness & poor black levels compared to better plasmas.

Just rang around a few places and none seem to have the Samsung PS50A55x models.
Anyone know where I can get one below 900 euro?
