Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a new monochrome laser printer buy I'm a bit indecisive about which seeing as there are so many.
    Any recommendations?
So far I've been particularly looking at the HP P1005, P1006 & P1009 (not totally sure what the diff is between these!) and Samsung ML-1640 ,ML-2240.
    Appreciate the help!:D

I haven't bought a laser myself but one thing I would say is to check how much replacement cartridges are for whichever one you buy, as sometimes the prices of the cartridges can run into many times the cost of the printer very quickly depending on how much printing you do, also check how many pages(average) you get per cartridge of each model.

Edit: For what purpose is the printer being used? Home or Business?

    Thanks for the reply Daywalker

Its being used as a home printer, but for college purposes so it'll be used quite rigorously I can imagine.

I would go for the ML 2240 which I believe is a duplex model. That means you can print both sides of a page on a single pass. Well worth the extra few bob. The initial cartridge is never full on any model but after that you get a few thousand pages per cartridge. Cartridge prices are comparable. I have a Samsung 1510 for over five years and it is still going a dream.
