I have the first gen version of the ipod touch and I was just wondering how do I get the apps onto it. I downloaded them the other night and then synced it up but nothing appeared. A friend said I have to download some software or something from iTunes but Im not fully sure

if you havent updated the software on it since you bought it you will need to do so and pay 8-10 euros to upgrade to 3.0. you can do it through itunes. when you connect the ipod touch to itunes check for updates and it should appear. i have a first generation touch and updated it last year to the 2.0 software but havent updated to 3.0 yet as i am happy enough with whats on it at the minute

I bought the software but it hasn't downloaded properly. I've tried it at least 6 times now but I keep getting a network connection error with a third of the download left. I've tried downloading other free apps and all have been successful with one being twice as big the problematic one so I'm not sure what the cause of it is.
