Not officially confirmed by the BBC, but series 4 has apparently been comissioned by the BBC.

I don't know about you, but I don't want a fourth series. It came to such a natural conclusion after CoE, that any way to resurrect it would feel so forced, and obviously just a way for the BBC to make money, IMO.

I would be happy if it came back, but I don't know if it would ever live up to what it achieved with CoE. I would prefer it to go out with a bang, thn get cancelled because of poor ratings.

(Doctor DooM, I await your pessimistic attitude with eagerness :D)

Good news. Barrowman is much better on TW than WHO.

A season 4 though would be a fairly new beast :
I mean Ianto's dead, Gwen's pregnant & looked to be ready to pop. Jack's gone to the other ends of the galaxy. So effectively the existing team's gone, realistically you'd need a brand new set of Torchwood employees to carry the torch.

    I imagine that
We'll still have Gwen, Rhys and Jack. Being on the other side of the galaxy never stopped them from bringing him back. I mean look at how they shoehorn him into the DW specials. They'll either work the baby into the scripts or have Gwen miscarry or something (this is a darker show). They then have other characters from the Who universe to pull in like Martha Jones and Mickey Smith (boo)
    .

Personally I would have preferred it if they left it with CoE as their conclusion.
