Im in Kildare but routed via Limerick.
I normally ping 30-50 ingame, getting 400-500 atm.

When i try ping -t www.eircom.net i ping @ 10-12 so its deffo only an issue crossing the water so to speak.

Yeah same here in Kildare, same in Blanc.

Ping www.eircom.net get in the 20's
Ping www.boards.ie get in the 400's

    Think something is wrong :P

Someone else I know on the southside is getting weirdly low pings.

    *Edit*
    Just sorted itself!

Gone dicky again, DNS servers are the cause again. Switched to OpenDNS, all is good now. :)

Same here. In Cork as well.

Just switched to OpenDNS myself.. Will stick with it until it starts acting up on me which it has a tendency to do... I wish Eircom would tell us about this BEFORE they do it rather than a crappy apology email weeks after...

Done the old opendns switch also. I think I'll stick with it for a while as well.

This is a disgrace. When it was happening about 2 weeks ago they were claiming some nonsense and sent out a lame apology letter, yet it is still happening. How long before they fix it for good? What are we paying for? Can we expect this to happen every few weeks for a few days where we can't access certain pages. I need access to my e-mail for important things like college/work etc yet I can't get access at all. Its a joke.

Would there be anyone actually in Eircom doing anything especially considering its after business hours and a bank holiday as well, I would think its just automatics in control with an engineer on call?
