    Restricts view.
    not necessary for football.
The GAA con the punters by not declaring on the tickets that people have restricted view.Typical.
I'm really looking forward to the game today and this lousy net spoils it.
    rant over.

Not much you can do about it, pretty pedantic thing to complain about really.

Also, why wouldn't it be necessary for football?

I was at Kildare Wicklow gave in Portlaoise, during the warmup most of the balls the Kildare lads kicked went over the net into the terrace behind the goal.
Everyone had great craic trying to catch the balls, with a strong wind behind the ball they were coming in like missiles.
Great craic for most but my 6 year old was afraid as there were balls landing everywhere, behind daddy he stood clinging onto me.
So yes i can see the danger to little kids.

    Premium level seats cost enough.

You should be told when you are buying them that you will be looking through a net.

I agree they restrict view and when I was in the Canal for the Munster Leinster rugby game (Cmon Leinster ;)) there was a difference. Very necessary however, as someone said if a ball hit a kid it could cause a lot of damage.
