    Well not exactly......

I covered 98kms in 3hours 20mins. My route took me from Celbridge out to Saggart, up towards Blessington, turning off for the Sally Gap (where i met a group from Dundrum cycling club) doubling back around on to the Saggart Rd. then down into Tallaght. Left the Dundrum lads at Tallaght and headed down the Belgard Rd. towards Clondalkin before taking the Naas dualler towads Rathcoole. I had planned on turning off at Rathcoole and heading back to Celbridge from there but a moment of madness sent me back into Saggart, up to Blesso again, down to Naas, over to Sallins and Clane and then back to Celbridge from there. Bit of a mad route but enjoyable nonetheless!

My average speed for the trip was just under 30km/hr and i'm just wondering is that any good? Any other route suggestions that i could attempt in the coming weeks? I'm fairly new to this cycling lark and don't ride with any club. A big thanks to the Dundrum lads for letting me join their group. It really broke up the monotony and was a huge learning experience riding in a pack like that.

In the end, i had to do an easy 2km warmdown just to round the distance up to a nice even number! :D

It's always great when you do your 1st century but you also managed to do it in an excellent time. I was delighted with my 1st century and thought I did well doing it in 4 hrs.

Congratulations and keep it up. You should actually do the Tour of Kildare next weekend.

Wow well done! Everyone remembers their first metric century! Wait until you do your first imperial century (100mi/160km).

Just below 30km/h is a fantastic speed, especially for your first 100km spin - well done!

That sounds like a good spin for next Sunday! Reckon i'll sign up and do that tour.

Thats if my legs recover from yesterday! Haha

I woke up this morning and struggled to get down the stairs! Think i might have been a bit overzealous in my efforts yesterday....
