    I thought the same, and I wouldn't believe it if it was some unknown internet shop but its Amazon! Seriously, how could Amazon put this up as a joke?

    But yeah, I wouldn't invest in this simply due to the "just in case" factor. But if it DID come, you could always order another one, and sell the one that arrived for a couple of grand.

    Just FYI, that picture is a fanmade pic (specifically by cakefoo on NeoGAF). Amazon have placeholders for loads of stuff so that people can sign up to be emailed if/when the item becomes available.

    The slim is definitely coming but I'd wait until we see some real photos and any confirmation from Sony before we get excited. Maybe they'll announce it at Gamescom later this month?

    backward compatibility will be fully software from the newer sony patents it may be release when the slim is but it won't be just for the slim
