Titliest Vokey Wedge Question

    Hi,
Quick but simple question, i'm a relative newbie to golf but enjoying the game and have seen a lot of these wedges around, i'm thinking about picking one up as e.g. im finding using the PW or SW for short chips over a bunker can be near impossible to stop on the green

I assume they give better spin and control but short (< 30 yard) pitching?

What do the different degree of bounce mean e.g. 54 degree with 8 degree of bounce?

Thanks in advance for you help
    Shay

I have two myself, a 56 and a 60. The less bounce you have, the more closer the sole of the club will sit on the ground.

If you look at the 60 (8 Degrees of Bounce) degree it will appear to sit closer to the ground, while the 56 (12 Degrees of Bounce) seems to sit up ever so slightly.

You can nip the ball off a flat lie better with a the 52 or 60 as they have less bounce, whereas to do the same with the 56, you may have to close the face to reduce the bounce on the club.

The face does give extra bite, the oil can spin milled version gives even more, providing u aren't using the latest versions of the pro v1 ball which apparently cut up like nothing before.
