i'm in the market for a ford transit connect,i'm a sparks but heading back to college and boss is keeping me on part time so the van is essential for getting from college to work.Have gone to see a few but the one i'm interested in is in really good nick. It's 06 with 20k miles, one lady owner.I've haggled with the salesman from 8950 to 8000 and got him to throw on roof bars too.Do you think this is a good deal or should i try to push it a bit further?

You should try to push it a lot further. You can buy a new Caddy now for 9k + Vat if you know where to look. The commercial market hasn't realigned to the new pricing in Ireland yet ... I very nearly bought one recently so I've a fair idea of what connects are worth, and what people are asking for.

You should look at the TDCI model, which has the higher 90Bhp engine, get one with a sliding door, and if possible, get an LX - they usually have full electrics and aircon.

    For example, on donedeal.ie there's a 06 going for 5k at the moment. That's a realistic value.

Cheers for the reply, this one has the side sliding door, how much would that be worth. It doesn't have any electrics though

It's worth about 5k to be honest. That's the real value of it currently, and any dealer selling one for more is just out of touch with real prices.
