Running a Sky+ box with only one input ?

We're re-arranging stuff at home here and have moved the Sky+ box into a room with only 1 cable. Everything appears to be working, but I was just wondering whether there was any requirement to terminate/balance or otherwise do something to the second input on the Sky+ box ?

I know I won't be able to watch one channel while recording another, but in practice I think I may have done this once in the last year, and anyway I can go into the room with the original Sky box and watch it there while the Sky+ box is recording.

so, do I need to do anything to the unused input on the Sky+ box ?

Thanks for the replies. That's what I thought would be the case alright but something's still not quite right..

I set up a trial recording this afternoon, but it failed. Around the time it was due to record I had a look and while I could see RTE1 & RTE2, I got something like "not satellite signal" for TV3 which was due to be recorded. Any ideas ? Do I need to config something to tell it to record off input 1 or something ?

Something wasn't right yesterday as I couldn't get it to work correctly with only one input so I did what any bloke would do on a bank holiday Monday - went up to Woodies, bought myself a big drill bit, drilled a hole in the wall and ran a second cable in. Normal service has been resumed.

I could watch TV with a single input alright, but whether the machine was awake or in standby it still came back with 'failed' for any attempted recordings. The weird thing is that when the cable was connected to 'input 1' we got no signal at all but when it was connected to 'input 2' we got what we needed.
