Sky HD box issue

Interesting issue has occured twice over the last 3 months, I put the sky hd box on standby each night and twice now it has randomly lost connection, ie it says no satellite signal being received, once this happens I have to reboot the box. The signal strength and quality will stay at around 80% when this happens but it will not lock on. As it has only happened twice it doesn't bother me to much but has anyone else experienced this and is it something that might get worse over time. Is there a fix ? could it be related to the new epg being attempted to be downloaded or something as the HD box is the samsung model ?

I have had this happen numerous times since getting the new EPG. I've rang Sky about it, but they don't seem too bothered.

A planner rebuild fixes it, but it still happens at least once a week now.

I had this headache with a Thomson box, signal constantly breaking up on CH4 & E4 channels, at least once a day it said no satellite signal being received, and worst of all it wouldnt accept series links! I would press the green button but nothing happened.

I replaced it with a Humax Foxsat HDR box 3 weeks ago and am very happy with it!!

I too have the new Samsung HD box and this frequently has happened to me. In fact only a few minutes ago. To fix the problem I disconnect the box at the mains but it is a niusance. My box is just 5 months old and I do not have the new EPG yet..
