[Info] Furnished apartment - What is included?

I'm moving into an apartment for college soon. It's the 1st time ever I'm renting an apartment in Ireland. In contrast to apartements in Germany, which are empty when you rent them, I know the ones in Ireland are always (fully) furnished.

So I was wondering what does that include? Furniture obviously but also cutlery, plates etc? And what about electrical devices? I think a toaster and a kettle is standard but what about a hoover? The landlord surely expects you to keep the property clean so he should provide a hoover, should he not?

(I'm asking because I consider buying stuff, that won't be in the apartment, in Germany and bring it to Ireland as it's much cheaper here....)

I think vacuum cleaner will depend on the particular property. I imagine you can buy a basic one for €50-70 and you could take it home or sell it. There is no harm in asking the landlord for one.

Yes. Beds, wardrobes, chairs, tables, sofa, cooker, fridge, kettle.

Maybe. Microwave, toaster, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, TV, chest of drawers, desk, basic cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, cleaning equipment, curtains.

No. Computer, radio, DVD/VCR, bed clothes.

    Not every landlord provides these.
