    Hi

I have a Toshiba 37XV555DB LCD tv. I am trying to connect up an LG surround sound to listen to the sound system while watching tv.
I am using a red and white connectors into the back of the tv and the same into the LG. I am not getting any sound :(

I used to have a Sony that had an option to pick external output (external speakers )but not on the Toshiba. Could anyone advise if Im missing a setting or doing something wrong ?

    Thanks

You may be connecting an input on the tv to an input on the lg. You have an optical output on the tv for sound, do you have an optical input on the lg?

Check the tv manual to see what audio OUTPUT connections it has.
If there is a yellow jack beside the 2 you have connected to the lg it is probably not an output.
