Was your total stake €2 or €15?

€15 would get you €48.27 and €2 would get you €6.44.

I work in a bookies and by my rough calculations I make it about €50 odd :)

Edit: you could get more than this if one of your horses finishes at a better price and if your bookie of choice does guaranteed prices

Finally worked it out - 48.26561 I think so that would be 48.27 return.

Quick way of working out full cover accumulator bets (i.e., singles, doubles, trebles, 4 folds, 5 folds, as many winners as you can get).

It still requires maths ability but its a huge shortcut. Shouldn't be beyond anyone here.

    Example 1.
    Lucky 15 stake €1 with 4 winners at 3/1, 9/2, 6/1 and 8/1.
Basically you add 2 points to each price and multiply by the stake, then you subtract the stake.

    So the return for this bet is (€1 x 5 x 13/2 x 8 x 10) - 1, = €2599.

Example 2. Same bet except its 50c ew and the place odds are 1/4.

Obviously its two seperate bets, the win part and the ew.

    As before bet 2a (the win part) is (50c x 5 x 13/2 x 8 x 10) - 50c, = €1299.5.

For bet 2b (the each way part) we first divide the odds by 4.
    So our four 'winners' are 3/4, 9/8, 6/4, 8/4.
Again we add 2 full points to each price so now our 4 winners are 11/4, 25/8, 14/4, 16/4.
    So our return on the ew (50c x 11/4 x 25/8 x 14/4 x 16/4) -50c = €59.66.
    Overall return €1299.5 + €59.66 = €1359.16.

Never knew that at all, cheers.

Bit of a roundabout way of doing it :)

And unfortunately though this only works if you've got either four winners or four places. It wouldn't work in a bet like the OPs where theres 2 winners and 2 places
It wouldn't work either if your horses are in races where e/w is paid at 1/5 of the odds. Bookies generally only offer 1/4 odds on multiplie bets as a special. Its not a set in stone rule and a few of them have done away with it recently

    Are you for real?

Of course it bloody works with 2,3 or 9 winners as I said in the first sentence, as long as its full cover bets. (L15, Heinzes etc).
It works regardless of how many are win/placed because they are 2 seperate bets you are working out.
It works at 1/2,1/4,1/5 whatever fractional the ew is - for 1/5 you would just divide by 5 instead of 4 in example 2b for whichever horse was 1/5 the odds.

Its not for everyone though, it requires basic math.

All right cranky pants... I missed out part of what you said which is probably why it didn't work out for me.. My bad

I do actually work in a bookies... during the summer and at weekends and whenever I'm not in university where funnily enough I'm doing a masters in... MATHS :p

A long time ago I changed tactics if im doing a lucky15/yankee - instead of doing an ew yankee, in this case spending 7.50 for the place lucky15 I would do a 50c win lucky15 and a 3.25 ew accum

This way if 4 are placed then I get a return, if 2 or 3 are placed then I miss out but I to even up if i get 4 wins then i have the win accum also for larger sum

Yet to land one though :(
