its a musically interesting track , but the vocal production lets it down , it sounds overloaded, to dead, and too up front ( like it was recorded in a totally different space ) - and a bit lifeless and needs a bit of tuning .

the music appears to be a collage of samples ? is there any playing on it ?

Isn't this sort of thing for the

"Let's hear your Music" thread ?

    fair enough dd tish

spot on observation re: recorded in a different space
its also a 1st take on main vox and back vox

    and ~paulb
    imo
music production thread should have more interaction like this, and there should be more hobbyists than pros out there although I cant shake them out of the tree where we could help each other

There are more hobbyists than pros and the 'Hear your Music thread' is the place for such interaction.

    ok I meant

hobbyists working together on music production

Im finding there is not much interaction from the upper to lower (i didnt say none)

and NONE between the lower, in fact i cannot identify my hobbyist brethren

the problem being dweebies dont feel able to ask dumb questions and need time to understand things- apart from finding the time to meet outside our 9-5 jobs

I suppose im saying I want more out of the thread ..... dont know what though...
    instant..
    expertise...

    2 bottles please

If one posts something and no-one replies it's probably because they're not interested as is their prerogative.

Life (and the music biz in particular) is hard I'm afraid.

Interesting track! Very fun. Is it a collage of samples? The intro (i.e. all that stuff before vocal comes in) is way too long. Personally I am not a fan of singers singing "dat" instead of "that" it sounds sloppy, to me. No bottom end stuff is audible, though it seems to be there in the arrangement, which is a pity, there's a danceable groove there.

    btw....

its not a collage... someone else did the music to which I added the synthy parts and vocal demo

im not sure about the diction re:dat i will listen to it again I aint got a dub accent lol
