Problem with sending texts on iPhone

Don't know if this is anything to do with the reason for the update but I can't send a text on my new iPhone. The 'send' button won't activate. Sometimes it does but most times it won't no matter how hard I press. Is there an app I can use that will hook into 02 so I can send my messages? I downloaded Eirtext Pro but it hangs on me on the log in! :o Anything else?

Also, stupid question no. 2 - how do you get the update?

To update, just connect your iPhone to your pc and in the iphone page in iTunes select Check for Updates and Download and Install. Click a few next buttons and it'll do the rest automatically.

Ta, update worked. Any ideas on the sms problem? Alternative programme or faulty phone?

I was hoping the update would fix it. How long have you had the iPhone? If you ported or just set up a new account, I know that the text message provisioning sometimes doesn't work the first time. However, you said that it works sometimes so that probably isn't the problem. As an update is pretty much the same as a restore, I don't know what else you can do to try and fix it. You'll have to ring O2 and ask them about it.
