I go the whole hog and throw in the ice. It def keeps my legs a bit looser.

Anytime I do a run of more than 12 miles I have a cold bath. I usually alternate between the cold bath for 5 mins and then jump in the hot shower for a few minutes and repeat this a few times. I always feel great afterwards and the next day.

My sister recommended having a bath with epsom salts in it after a long run as this is great to flush the lactic acid out of the legs apparently.
I haven't tried it yet but she got me a 5kg tub of the stuff so i'll test it out after my next LSR.
