Training in practice vs. industry

I was wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice. I’m currently training in practice (audit) with ICAI for nearly 2 years and have just recently sat the CAP2 exams in June. I have been reconsidering changing to the business/industry route as I have been told it might suit me better. I know most chartered accountants who qualify go straight into industry (according to the ICAI) but what about training in industry?

If anyone has trained in industry or has changed from practice to industry I would be grateful for some advice. I just don't know what to do at the moment

    I have trained in industry

A couple of pros and cons off-hand

    Pros:
Better money (at least while training)
More likely to stay in the company once complete
Can build expertise in one area

    Cons:
    Can be pidgeon-holed
Hard to switch to other industry's but still possible
