    hi, got great advice here on jailbreaking ipod and just wondering can anyone help me out with a new problem. I ain't got wifi in my house and was wondering if its impossible to install apps direct from pc like you can with itunes? or will i have to go to my mates house...thanks again

    You can install apps through iTunes on your PC, just go to the iTunes store and click on App Store on the left hand side. Is this what you mean?

    near positive you need internet for cydia.. that's the jailbreak installer app which is all important. after some tweaking tho, i think .ipa files can be loaded onto ipod through ssh and installed from ipod.

    but yea, you need internet. wifi modems are cheap and let you do alot with the itouch.. like see my thread on airphones. i'd say to invest in one.
